Purpose

Select Strength exists to improve quality of life through guided fitness training that aligns with the goals and needs of each individual client.

 

Meeting the client where they are is a key element of the Select Strength training method. This applies to current motivation, fitness level, goals - and geographically! I will come to the most convenient location that aligns with my client's lifestyle. This format of personal training integrates the program into any schedule and improves outcomes. 

 

Strength training is a crucial component of any exercise program but typically the most difficult to prescribe without skilled guidance and progression. 

 

Commitment to a program that incorporates consistent strength and conditioning, paired with the coaching from Select Strength, will improve physical and mental performance, provide gradual challenge, ultimately helping you create the best version of yourself that is better suited to tackle any future activity.

 

Purpose

In-Home Personal Training

Completing your free, 60-minute consultation will provide us with the necessary data to understand your current fitness level, establish clarity of your goals and expectations, and allow me to present an individualized progressive program that will take you where you want to go.

 

The program will consist of one-on-one in-home personal training using a variety of modalities to continue to challenge the body and mind on the journey towards your goals, while continually discussing opportunities to optimize lifestyle. The cost for each 60-minute training session is $125.

Strength training creates the foundation of these programs while paying close attention to mobility, posture, and core involvement. Variety and enjoyment are injected into each training session using fundamental exercises combined with coaching precision to push capacity and offer motivating challenge. 

 

Providing appropriate, efficient, and intelligent personal training sessions creates an effective vehicle for change when combined with data tracking, out of session communication, and endless suggestions for bringing extra activity into any schedule.

 

 

Training can take place at a client's home, residential building fitness facility, or office gym
Key items will be provided at each training session and any equipment you already have can be incorporated
Serving clients in downtown Chicago and the surrounding suburbs

About Me

About Me

My name is Scott Mezzano, and I am the proud founder of Select Strength LLC. Over 10 years of experience working with clients, patients, and athletes has shaped my approach to optimizing physical fitness. I have had the privilege of working alongside the brightest minds within the Executive Health Program at Northwestern Medicine and the elite personal training firm, Jim Karas Intelligent Fitness & Wellness. By blending my clinical knowledge with established fitness principles, I am able to prescribe and apply effective exercise programs that achieve desired results.

I've always had a passion for fitness and physical challenge. Over the years these challenges have included participating in several GoRuck military-inspired endurance events, completing a 50K ultra-marathon and training with the US Olympic Skeleton team in Park City, UT. In my free time, I enjoy long-distance biking, hiking, and camping. Recently married, I live in the northwest suburbs with my lovely wife, Kristen.
